GRIME

  Grime is a modified clone of the first DOD Grunge pedal designed by Jason Lamb and used a few times live by Kurt, once as a projectile. 

It's a fire breathing nasal distortion that many LOVE to hate. 

I made a few tweaks to the circuit to make it far more ear pleasing while leaving its original divisive snarl intact.

I tweaked the input boost highs to restrain some of the harshest harmonics. 

The GAIN/GRIME section was reworked for a far smoother taper and the lowest gain the original circuit will allow. A heavy crunch is finally possible at minimum, and simple to dial in the perfect gain amount. While taper was tweaked, the frequency response and maximum gain levels were left unchanged. Perfected.

The BASS/BUTT is identical to the original unit.

The HIGH/FACE  knob was tweaked, from the "air" it used to control to a boutique high gain tube amp presence frequency making it MUCH easier to control the ripping high end. It has the original taper intact. 

The VOLUME/LOUD taper was changed for the smoothest audio taper response. 

TRUE BYPASS  to eliminate the tonesuck and frequent intermittent switching problems of the original.

18VOLT capability for increased headroom. 

9-18V DC center negative max. 

Premium rubber surround knobs.

Grime uses the V1 4558 opamps for added warmth.
